Follow Rainbow Yorkies on Facebook to get an upclose watch as these precious babies grow.
I love to give a very personal experience to my families getting a yorkie from me.
I have a private and public page on Facebook where I post many updates and videos so you can see how your baby is born, where they live and play, how I care for them and to simply be a part of their lives as they grow while in my care for the first 12 weeks.
I believe it's very important for families to see as much as possible. My puppies are not cheap and it is necessary that you're able to see why.
It's a lot of hard work, as well as financially expensive for me to be able to breed the right way. I feel that it's important you see that side of my breeding as well as be able to see that your puppy is in good hands and that your trust in me as your breeder is taken very seriously.
I keep my puppies until 12 weeks of age.
It's necessary that have they have time with mom and siblings for stimulation, growth and socialization.
Keeping puppies until 12 weeks also allows me time to cover their first few sets of Vaccines which is better prevention for them. I also microchip them before going home and they are dewormed every 2 weeks starting at 2 weeks of age.
My dogs and puppies live with us and are loved and cared for deeply. We have 8 children so they are pre-loved by many.
Temperaments are an important factor when adopting a new pet, I will explain how all available puppies temperaments are as they grow into their own little personalities so you can decide which yorkie baby is the right pick for you. It really helps puppies to be socialized with other dogs and people. So our big family really helps with that.
When the time comes for you to get your new baby, a large puppy pack will come with him or her.
I'll send home some must have items, which I will explain furthermore in the important info section.
I look forward to each new birthand to all the families we will be blessed to add to our Rainbow Yorkie family.
I hope to make this a very special experience for you.
My goal is to give you an up close view of your yorkie pups growth from the day they are born, until the moment they are in your arms!
I understand how much anxiety it can cause waiting to get your new fur child, so being able to to see your baby often, will help pass the time and give you peace of mind.
I can't wait to share a journey with you!
Hello, my name is Hannah Garrison.
I am the breeder behind Rainbow Yorkies.
My journey began just a short 2 years ago! However, before I started I done a lot of research.
My interest in breeding yorkies came to life after buying my first 2 yorkies. I desperately wanted these precious babies but never understood why they were so expensive.
So, I chose to buy cheaply.
Unfortunately, this is where I learned the value of the cost.
One of my yorkie babies was sick. She then got my other puppy sick too. After spending a lot of money in vet care, my sweet girl passed away but thankfully we were able to save the boy.
This is where my interest in yorkies, the breed and what goes into breeding, grew.
I was so devastated by the death of my new puppy. It just wasn't fair.
So I started to research the breed. I read and read and I just wanted to learn more and more.
Then I started to think, it's truly important to breed with knowledge and care. I wanted to build the breed and to give an experience to families that was much different than the one I had.
I wanted to make families happy. Ensure healthy babies. And this is where Rainbow Yorkies was created.
The name comes from, The Rainbow After the storm. It also connected to the fact I wanted to breed colorful yorkies as well.
I knew many others would have their own personal stories too where, the Rainbow after the storm would connect to their lives as well and I hoped that a puppy from my dedicated breeding would be just that, the highlight of someone's life. A new chapter of joy and love.
I became very determined to breed with the right intentions so that these amazing animals were able to be healthy and thrive and that their families would have a beautiful experience in adopting from me.
Because, that's how it should be!
Colorful yorkies interested me a lot too, the facts with colorful yorkies is that colors were bred in. I found this info fascinating. I wanted to learn more.
I began to realize there was a lot of controversy behind colorful yorkies. Many think traditional and parti, purebred only is acceptable, however the truth is, the breed is changing and growing differently and I have personally chosen to contribute to building colorful yorkies in a healthy and beautiful way.
This is how it began, I too grow and change as I learn more and more about breeding. It's a learning process but one that I enjoy and love to do.
Welcome to Rainbow Yorkies, where my journey becomes yours too.
I take pride in my breeding.
As stated previously, I researched a lot so I could learn as much as possible about breeding yorkies.
Health is my number one concern.
I am a breeder but I am also a buyer. I want to receive happy and healthy puppies too, so I want to be sure to do the same for all the families who trust me for their yorkie baby.
I have all of my potential doggy parents thoroughly examined by my vetinarian as well as dna testing done on all of my dogs before breeding them. This helps to know more about their genetics and breed percentage. Due to me breeding colors, yes my puppies parents have been mixed with something to create the color. I do however, build the percentage by breeding back to purebred. It's a lot of dedication and work but I truly enjoy it.
If purebred is important to you, be sure to let me know and I will tell you which pairings are purebred.
Understand that with colors, mixes had to happen.
Another important thing is quality. I strive hard to produce not only healthy babies but beautiful ones as well.
To breed correctly many factors have to be met such as, correct ear sets, straight top lines, correct bites, excellent coats, temperaments etc.
I also choose to do the what I call, the forever baby look. This is with the short noses, wide set eyes and small ears.
It's a growing process to create a certain look and genetics do their own thing. So I never will guarantee looks, size, bites, conformation, etc. But what I do guarantee is breeding at my best abilities and knowledge to produce healthy beautiful babies.
Please check out "important info" at the top left corner of the page, where you see the 3 stacked lines, to read on how to continue with the best care to help keep your baby healthy and safe!
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Prices vary based on gender, size, color and quality.
As you can see based on what I have shared and shown in my breeding, it is a major job to care for all of these babies and their parents. With that comes a huge financial obligation, therefore my puppies are not cheap, but very much worth it.
Prices start at 2800 and can be up to 6000.
It's best to get a healthy well bred pup from the beginning to avoid possible heartache and financial burdens along the way.
No! My puppies stay as perfect as they are born. I do not cut off tails.
Dogs use their tails to show emotions and communicate.
In my opinion, long tails are more beautiful.
The hair grows long and when the tail curls over the back, it just waterfalls down and its absolutely gorgeous.
This is a preference, I understand.
But no puppy of mine will have a docked tail. No exceptions.
After 12 weeks of age.
It's important puppies are socialized with their siblings and raised by their mama.
I also like to be able to cover their first few set of vaccines, as well as microchip them before leaving my care.
Yes!
I have a strict contract that must be read over and agreed to before I will take a deposit.
My health guarantee is for one year against congenital issues that cannot be caused by environmental factors.
Below I share images of what it looks like behind the scenes.
Breeding isn't just pairing dogs and having cute puppies.
It is dedication that sometimes has brought me to my knees, in tears, as I give my best effort to give each puppy the care they need.
Sometimes things get complicated.
A mother will stall in labor, a puppy will be turned side ways and can not be born naturally, csections are required, sometimes mothers struggle the first few days and sometimes babies do too. Many things can and do happen.
That's where my determination comes in.
I fight for tiny lives, each and everyone.
If they fight the battle to thrive, I fight the battle to help them survive.
This consists of around the clock feedings every 2 hours.
I nurture them, stimulate them, even burp them; yes puppies have to be burped.
I lose sleep, I pray for them, I cry over them and I keep on until they thrive or sometimes unfortunately the fight is too much. Sometimes a baby just has to let go.
This is heart breaking. I never get use to it.
So breeding is much more than anyone can imagine.
Below is a small glimpse into what it's like.
Our babies are adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your furever friend or to ask any questions.
